Title: Deleting Galleries
Post by: dwjantz on January 09, 2005, 10:10:41 pm
Cas installed my Coppermine and I guess it comes with some photos.  Anyway, I cannot see how to delete these.  I was able to form a gallery and go back and delete that one, but I cannot see how to do it with this one, even the individual pics.  What am I missing?

did you notice the "delete this file" link underneath the file? Why don't you give it a try? ::)
Coppermine itself doesn't come with pictures in the database, Cas probably uploaded some for testing purposes. I suggest you read the documentation that comes with coppermine first.

These isn't one.  That is why said I could do it with other ones, but the options are not there on this one.  Weird.

Are you in admin mode (vs user)?

Yes, I tried it in both.  For some reason this ONE gallery has no options to delete anything.  I am able to do it with all others so I do know where the tools are.  But not this one.  Weird.

please post a screenshot of the page that should have the missing delete buttons.
Another option is to click on "edit files" next to the album thumbnail and then tick the "delete file" checkbox underneath the particular pics you want to get rid of.

Have removed the album and pictures for you. So you should be in shape now.
Next time please wait with deleting files from the filesystem.
You should have logged on as administrator (which is Dougjan).
I have now given the Admin user also administrator rights.

Enjoy your gallery.

Thanks, Cas.  I am telling you, this guy, Cas, is a whiz at this, and a great help when I needed it! I was having such a problem with loading all this that he did it for me.  I want to thank him publicly for his help here.
