Title: Unable to connect to database
Post by: Jeys on December 08, 2012, 05:00:58 pm
Hello. So, when I access my gallery through the link, it gives me this:
Quote
Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Access denied for user 'tombraid'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

So, I suppose I know the problem and that is that I changed my password of my control panel of the website. What I don't know is how to insert my current password, so the gallery can connect to the database. Same is unfortunately for my php forum and also blog. Where can I input my current password so the connection can be established again?

You can edit include/config.inc.php in there you will find your old db password and can change it to your new one. I cannot help with your forum software as I do not know it.

Okay, I managed to find the file through the FTP and now it's connected again. As for the blog and forum, I checked their folders too and saw that the files are under the same name or just contain 'config' in their name, so I managed to change their passwords too and now everything is tip-top!
Thanks alot!  :)

Pleasure. Would be great if you could hit the little tick that marks your post as solved. It helps other users find good answers.
