OK, I'm confused.
I'm trying to have one of my albums be password protected without having people to need to login.
When I click on Properties next to the album, and put in a password, it defaults to Albums can be viewed by me only.
Indeed, when I log out, I can't see the album anymore.
How can I set it so that everyone will be able to see there is an album there, even if they're not logged on, but have access to it with a password.
I have read the documentation, but it says it defaults to me only as well, so I'm at a loss.
Thanks, in advance.

that's the way password-protected albums work: all except the owner won't see the album as a link in coppermine's regular navigation. As a workaround, post a link to the password-protected album elsewhere, e.g. on your board, a non-coppermine page or in the description of a public album (use bbcode). No other option, sorry.

khena,
Try turning "Show private album Icon to unlogged user" to "Yes" in the 'Files and thumbnails advanced settings' configuration panel.
I found this will show a 'Private Album' Icon to unlogged users on galleries which have a password set. This is just perfect for me.
Of course, this is a global setting and will show all your private albums, so you can't set this on a album by album basis.

Bingo, exact thing I was wondering.
Using coppermine for family photos, a simple password is easier than allowing sign ups.
