Title: New bridge file for PHPBB 2.0.18
Post by: Nibbler on November 01, 2005, 05:03:03 pm
Please use the attached bridge file if you are using phpbb 2.0.18

You'll need to replace your current bridge file with this new one, copying over the information from the top of the file about your database and cookie settings from your old bridge file.

Note that you will still get the invalid_session message if you have remember me checked, your session then expires, and you logout from coppermine without visiting the forum atall. I can't see any way around that, but should not be that common.

Edit: Updated as suggested in post below

thanks a lot. now everything works perfect again.
only little problem was that your version uses a different phpbb tables prefix than the original version.

@Nibbler: should this go into the stable branch of the cvs?

Nice job, Nibbler! Works like a charm!

It can't be added into stable as it is, it will not work on anything < 2.0.18. I'll need to add in a toggle to switch between different methods. The 1.4 bridge file will need a tweak too.

OK, thanks for the explanation. Should we wait for a solution then before releasing cpg1.4.2 ?

So should members not check the remember me box now. They have to login every time they visit?

The only problem is that which I outlined above. You can still login once and stay logged in indefinitely, just don't use the logout link from Coppermine.

Ah, then it looks like I may have another problem then. If I login from the BB and use the remember me box, I am not logged in to the gallery. If I try then to log in from the gallery nothing happens.

Thanks a lot for this update to the bridge file I was just about to start messing with the "phpbb.inc.php" file to try to make it work and that was pretty scary   :o .  It works perfectly for me.

I did the update but got this message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: cpggetuserdata() in /home/contracts/*********/www/coppermine/bridge/phpbb.inc.php on line 160

Anyone an idea?

*sigh*
why has this to happen all the times? Why don't users read before posting?
