Title: [Solved]: Cant recreate intermediate photos
Post by: zikronix on July 10, 2008, 03:15:47 pm
So like a dummy i deleted all the intermediate photos...dont know why seemed liek the thing to do at the time. Well now I cant recreate them. If I goto admin tools select update thumbs or resized photos. and select only resized photos click submit i get an error like the one below

ERROR creating : albums/engagement/normal_engage_65_fix.jpg

Ive triple checked all permissions. all coppermine files seem to be there, even changed themes to see if i was missing an option.

I searched the forum over and over again and i read this is how that you fix it. It works for the people on the forum but not for me. Unless im doing something wrong. Any help would be great.

Check the size set for intermediate images in config. Make sure it's not set to 1. Also, don't over react. :)

lol. ok so it was set to 1. I set it back to 400 (not sure how it got to 1)

that seems to have fixed the intermediate picture thing...All though I tried to do all albums at once and it generated a 500 error so im doing them 1 by 1

If this was set to "1", you have been hacked. Read up http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,51927.0.html and do as suggested there.

I was hacked a few months back. I did a full reinstall at that point and time and all subsequent upgrades and all that jazz. This was the only thing that didn't work after the hack. But it works now.

If you have done a re-install, then it possibly can't have been set to "1", so you better ask yourself what you did wrong. Read the thread I refered to. I mean it.

Well i replaced and over wrote all files back then with .17 then subsequently .18 and ran the scripts...I was one of the first sites that were hacked with that hack and they hit all three of my galleries.

I scanned the database for admin accounts etc, and it looked good. all the other galleries worked but this one...if im not mistaken would not that particular option be a database setting.

So if the data base was never wiped then the option would have stayed present...based off logs there have been no attempts since that time so long ago.

What you describe is not a fresh install, but an upgrade. It may or may not sanitize your hacked gallery. The thread I refered to explains what you need to do to fully sanitize your galleries and what type of backdoors the attackers might have left that might cause your gallery to get re-infected over and over. I already adviced you twice to read the hack sanitization thread. That should be all you need to know. It's up to you now if you heed my advice and read the thread you stubbornly appear to ignore. I'm not ready to argue with you on the need of a full sanitization - after all, it's your gallery that acts "funny", not mine. However, this is beyond the scope of the original question posted in this thread, so I'm locking this thread.
