Title: email on Windows XP Apache server issues.
Post by: samw5 on January 20, 2007, 07:31:58 pm
I'm having issues to get the email function to work on my new setup.

I'm running Apache 2.2 on a Windows XP MCE system.

Somehow the mail notifications aren't going out. I tried both leave the fields blank and using my SMTP... neither seem to work (the SMTP is my actual domain, not running on the machine).

Any thoughts?

oh and while i'm at it, i just noticed that despite having a folder inside my albums folder the site asks me to create one in order to do batch uploads. Changing the setting to non-browsable interface shows all the folder/subfolder tree fine. Re-enabling browsable interface gives me the error message again.

anyone? Still haven't been able to get the email feature working on my Windows XP isntall... Do I need to open ports in the Windows firewall or maybe enable some special modules in PHP?

We can't help you setting up your webserver in the first place. Self-hosting is not recommended. Coppermine uses the SMTP/sendmail capabilities of your webserver. If your webserver isn't configured to send emails, then you'll have to configure it in the first place. I suggest googling for this (in your case: SMTP setup).

How could we possibly help? We don't know your server config ::). We don't support general webserver setup because we can't. Replying the way you did is not very nice >:(.
