Title: [feature request]chose albums according to categories
Post by: chlee on October 27, 2003, 08:58:09 am
We are using coppermine to store our educational medical images. We categorize patients according to the diagnoses and save each patient's representative images (mainly computed tomography and chest x ray) in his/her corresponding album. Thus we are dealing with hundreds (even thousands) of albums. It is a pain to choose the album to upload. Could somebody do a quick hack to select a category then the albums which will limit the numbers of album to choose.

not a hack, but an idea how to organize your gallery:
Create 26 Categories (from A to Z) and file each patient under the last name. Use the custom fields for storage of patient-related data (some id#) and use the search function to display a specific patient quickly.
Please search the board for a hack that has been contributed lately that sorts the albums alphabetically - this will probably do the trick.
