e-cards activisation
« on: September 08, 2004, 11:48:45 am »

How can I activate e-card sending system...? Because when I click on E-cards in Admin mode, then following text appears: "There are currently no ecard records to display. Check that you have enabled ecard logging in coppermine config!" But I still know that I activated :(

To allow users to send ecards, you need to set permission for the group they are in

To activate ecard logging, you have to go to admin mode config and enable e-card logging

The link that you clicked and showed "There are currently no ecard records to display. Check that you have enabled ecard logging in coppermine config!" , this is because no e-card had been sent from your system before.

Try enabling ecard logging in your config and send an ecard first.

I have having the same problem, however, when I am in Admin mode, and the ecard logging is turned on, save, I still receive the error message.

Is there a way around this?

Thanks.

I do have the ecard logging enabled in the config, however, what do you mean by the following line?

To allow users to send ecards, you need to set permission for the group they are in.

Let me know.

Thanks.

To set the permission for the group to send Ecards click on the "Groups" link when in admin mode. Then select "Yes" for 'Can Send Ecards' for the group you want to set permission to send ecards.

First send an ecard from the user of the group whose permissions you just edited and then go to 'Display Ecards' (admin mode). You will find that the ecard which you sent shows up on this page.

Thanks for the reply.

I have done that, but I am unclear as to how to send an e-card, I do not see any options for it.

I did change the permissons on the groups I wanted to be able to send e-cards.

Please advise.

Thanks.

To send an ecard go to any album which have photos. Click on the thumbnail of the photo you want to send as an ecard. You will shown a normal size picture of the thumbnail you clicked. Just above that picture you will find an image navigation bar. On the right side of it you will find the link for sending that particular picture as and ecard.

You need to provide the test login since you can't expect supporters to register for dozens of galleries to provide support.
