video cropping and upload problems
« on: August 22, 2004, 04:32:28 pm »

Hi,

I'm new to coppermine, and I thank you for your help. I have just uploaded my first galleries to http://photos.ianmacdonald.ca .

In one gallery, which I have called "movies" I have attempted to upload a quicktime movie.

My first problem, is that when I attempted to upload the movie using the "upload file" feature, all it says is "0 uploads successful" or whatever the message is. No reason given. I have my max. file size set to 10024 (10mb) and the max width and height bigger than the movie.

Secondly, I was able to upload it using batch add, but it crops it funny. Take a look at the movie in there right now. Under the description for the movie it says "300 x 550 , 5619kb", but it still displays wierd.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

there are server restrictions in place that limit the size (among other things) of files you can upload using http. If you're webhosted, you can't change them Read the sticky threads on this board (the ones with a pin icon) to find out more about server restrictions.

To set the proper width and height of your movie, see http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/manual.php#edit_vids

Thanks, I did read the sticky, but wasn't sure if that was my problem.

Thanks for the help!
