[Solved]: Problems with uploading after 274 times success
« on: August 21, 2004, 11:10:09 am »

Hello there!

my cpg version is 1.3.2. After I've uploaded 274 files in 14 different galleries via Windows XP web publishing, my upload don't want to work anymore! The Windows XP publisher shows that he's uploading the files but they are not on my server. What's wrong with my cpg? My webserver is still allright!

Thanks for every reply!

please post a link and test user account (non-admin) with upload privileges. Maybe this is related to a special file you're trying to upload; did you try to upload another, known good file for a test.

You didn't post that there is an error message on the final step of adding a pic:
Quote
Warning: rename(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 636 is not allowed to access /srv/www/web1/html/cpg132/albums/userpics/10002 owned by uid 30 in /srv/www/web1/html/cpg132/upload.php on line 2226
Does this ring a bell? Try silly_safe_mode (refer to coppermine documentation). If you still can't make this work, ask your webhost for support (ask them to CHOWN) the albums dir for you.

But one thing is a little bit strange... Why does this error not affect in the first downloads?!
I've allready added so much files without errors...

your webhost probably has changed some server settings without notifying you. Happens very often. I wouldn't bother too much about that, since it is working again.
