[?] - How to change the comments' format?

Commenting in CPG is too simple.
I edited the theme.php to change the comment box to <textarea> instead of <input>. It worked well. But my problem is: when I tried to format the comment (Insert line-breaks, spaces... etc) it didn't chang at all. Everything went straight..straight... in a warpped-single-line.

Help me, make the comment's formats go well :) I should thank you so much.

there's a thread on the mods board that allows textarea comments afaik. Please search for this thread (I think it was done by Casper).
