showing you an example to coppermine bridged with phpbb without giving you admin access would be the same thing as you already can see here on the coppermine pages: there's a board (be it smf, phpbb or whatever) and a coppermine install that uses the bbs' user database - just take a look at the demo page (link at the top of this screen). Try adding a comment to a pic are vote for a pic. Technically speaking we could have allowed creation of user galleries as well, but our webhost sourceforge allows us to have a basic demo only, without too much user interaction. Apart from that, we would have a bandwidth and webspace problem if we allowed users to upload to our demo page, as this page is quite busy already.

If you want further demos with or without phpbb integration, browse the thread Share your galleries.

Thanks. . . I get it now.  I thought that the BBS integration would blend Coppermine and a Forum.  i.e. underneath the pictures there is a forum.  It sounds like integration means that you share the same user database.

Is there anyway to integrate coppermine and a forum in this way:

http://www.boxerworld.com/photo/showphoto.php?photo=29261&sort=1&cat=1&page=1

or

http://www.photoforums.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=1328&password=&sort=1&cat=507&page=1

In otherwords, the picture and the forum are on the same page

Sure, just take a look @ GauGau's website, he has the gallery forum and you can even bridge it into a CMS setup as well...

Don't contact me for support over PM or email unless I requested you to do so. Instead: post on the proper board.

And if you try the SMF forums, it has a very powerful templating system that you could possibly use to integrate everything into one page.  NOTE:  You may run into a few problems (CPG and SMF have a few db functions that are named the same).  There are plans for the next major relase of CPG to rename key functions in CPG to avoid this type of problem in the future.
