[n/a]: Problem with the batch add feature
« on: August 11, 2004, 05:43:31 pm »

Hello all,

I feel quit dumb, but I read many threads and I still didn't find an answer.
I found people having the same problem, but they solved it all different and it doesn''t help for me.

When I click "batch add pictures" I get this message:

Quote
Select directory
This function allows you to add a batch of picture that your have uploaded on your server by FTP.

Select the directory where you have uploaded your pictures

I put my photo's in this directory:

http://saf.fulgor-hosting.nl/PHPnuke/modules/coppermine/album/bbq

but CPG can't find the directories.

Here are some screenies of my FTP upload:

Hope one can help me, I really tried to find the answer on your forum but I couldn't find out.
Thank you in advance,

Greetz Peter Overweg

You're in the wrong forum.  Since you're using the nuke version, please check their support website:

Actually this happens to the normal version as well. The Batch Add don't work. There is no directories displayed on the batch add screen.. it's just as explained on the first 2 posts here.

And the reason it happens is the person is using the userpic folder when he shouldn't be to 'batch add'.
You have to put the folder in the main Album directory. :)

@photoman13: you're right when you say users mustn't ftp-upload to the userpics folder, but Moveo didn't upload files there, as the screenshots illustrate. Apart from that, the listing of userpics in batch-add has been removed in the standalone version, but I'm not sure the dev team of the nuke port have done so as well. We simply can't support the nuke version on this board, as we (the standalone dev team) don't know it. The nuke version has "forked" during cpg1.1.0 and has taken a different course since then, with some information exchanged between the two dev teams, but basically the code differs nowaday very much.
