[Solved]: Integrating phpBB2 after gallery is set up.
« on: August 02, 2004, 06:08:57 am »

I have already installed and configured both copermine and phpBB2 independantly of each other.
I want to integrate them to use the same user db, however the instructions in the /cpg/docs/ folder seem to be for a fresh installation.
How do I integrate the two of them without starting from scratch?  I have spent over two days adding 1156 photos and creating my custom theme, and don't want to have to start over again, just to integrate the user dbs.

Both copermine and phpBB2 are located in the same mySql db (I'm only allowed one db).
They are also both on the same server and the folder structure is.....

Just follow the "Integrating the script with your bulletin board" instructions in the documents.  But remember...

If you already have users and custom groups in your coppermine database when you enable bbs integration, be aware that they will be lost. If your coppermine users have already created private albums and uploaded pics to them, they will be lost as well!

If you don't have any users, and you've uploaded your images via FTP and batch added them, you should be ok.

I did have some problems though....  but it was because my database had tables labled...  phpBB_xxx not phpbb_xxx

But fixed that... easy peasy... works fine as now :D
