Database query.. newbie!
« on: August 02, 2004, 06:07:13 am »

Hi all,

im a newbie to all this MySQL stuff since upgrading my hosting heheh..

anyways, i just wanted to confirm something before i install to save time later.. i want to integrate it with my phpBB2 eventually so before i install i just want to be sure..

in the BB integration docs, it says this.. ''It is also recommended that you use the same database for your board and Coppermine (in fact it is even mandatory!).''

I'm not sure exactly on this.. My board is installed on the database inked_phpb1 (i think, does this sound right?)
Do i install the Coppermine and just put in the "inked_phpb1" database? anything else i need to do?? i don't want to accidently write over anything..

I do have some features under my cPanel such as Manage Mysql and phpMyAdmin.. Do i use these to make a database in the board database or something?

sorry.. im confused, but i think im in the right ball park at least.. better safe then sorry..

thanks in advance!

Yep!  Just follow the installation instructions and you should be fine.
