Adding E-card tracking log to CPG 1.2.1?
« on: July 30, 2004, 01:59:29 am »

I really like the E-card log feature in CPG 1.3.1, but have been hesitating on the upgrade from 1.2.1 because all my modifications/hacks would be lost.

Is there anyway to integrate this feature into my existing 1.2.1 gallery without doing the entire 1.3.1 upgrade or losing my mods?

unless you have a good understanding of php and you can extract the feature from the existing cpg1.3.1 files: no. What cpg1.2.1 mods are you using that you're afraid to lose anyway? Maybe they're already in cpg1.3.1?

I have the non-permanent GD version of the watermarking hack in addition to numerous styling changes.

The gallery is here;

I suppose I am not quite sure the best way to go about the upgrade if I did do it.

the styling should all happen in your theme - there's a guide how to make your cpg1.2 theme cpg1.3.x compliant: http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/demo/docs/theme.htm

Thank you for the help.  Perhaps I will try the upgrade...
