"You don't have permission to perform this operation"
« on: July 16, 2020, 08:06:39 pm »

Hello, I've been getting this problem when trying to upload using the "Multiple Files - Flash" option since I downloaded coppermine to this domain. I've tried everything I can including reading all the documentation and "help" files. . I changed the permission of every single file (and folder) in file manager to 755. I am using Coppermine for another website and never had this problem before, yet I've had this problem since the beginning on this website. I even opened both file managers up at the same time to compare and I just can't figure out why it won't let me upload using flash on this website only.

The website having this issue is https://jurassicvault.com

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do?

Also to add, I have Windows and use Firefox. It can't be a problem with my computer or OS because I am able to upload just fine on another website using all these same conditions.

What happens when you try to upload the same file(s) with the HTML5 and Single file uploaders?
Have you checked server PHP memory allocation and max file upload values?

I can upload using HTML5 and single upload just fine, no problems. My max file upload is set to 6mb and I've tried uploaded even the smallest files using flash. I'm not sure how to check the PHP server memory... is that something in cpanel or file manager or something else?

Try this:

In Config->General settings->URL of your home page - set it to https://jurassicvault.com/

Do you have access to the servers logs? Those should help point to whatever the issue is. You will need to look at them for the time frame your upload failed.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

I tried uploading a photo using flash then checked the "error log" in cpanel. It's blank. I checked everything in file manager that has "log" in the title and nothing is dated after June 2020.

I have the same problem. I haven't changed anything. This happened a few days ago.

Web browser support for flash is rapidly going away. I don't know whether there is something with the flash uploader that could be changed to resolve whatever problem you are having but, at this point, it is doubtful that the dev team will be looking into it. The majority of the dev team had actually not wanted to even include flash upload with CPG 1.6. We're sorry you are having issues, but having to 'fall back' to the HTML5 uploader should certainly be an acceptable alternative.
