Just wondering how to develop the integration between phpBB 2.08 and Coppermine 1.3. I was thinking about getting the "Attachments" Mod for phpBB which will effectively allow for picture uploads to the message board. If anyone else has done this, can you tell me if the path to the pics storage directory can be put into the coppermine Albums directory, so that the uploaded photos can featue in future permanent coppermine galleries without having to mess about with FTP.

What other areas can the two progs integrate in to make life easier?

would require changing code both in coppermine and phpBB. As both are developed by different teams and there might be changes every now and then, this is not a good idea imo. Even if someone came up with a mod that would accomplish this, the mod would have to be re-applied every time you wanted to upgrade coppermine or phpbb.
