Different theme in a specific category

I asked about this on the themes board, but it seems no one was able to help.
I need someone that can get my gallery to display a different theme when it's on a specific category - and all its child's categories/albums/... There's a thread about it for cpg 1.4, but I have no clue how to adapt it to cpg 1.5.
I can't pay much, but if you think you can do it, please PM me your price and I'll see if it's doable for me.

Anyone knows if this is even possible? If not, I can just move on from this idea and go with something else.
