Missing Step in Upgrade Instructions - Anycontent.php
« on: July 03, 2004, 07:07:12 pm »

I recently upgraded my gallery to CPG 1.3.0 and followed the instructions to the letter.

I have to say the upgrade was quite painless except for the fact that the upgrade instructions do not suggest backing up anycontent.php

When I extracted the contents of the ZIP archive into my file server it obviously overwrote the anycontent.php file in the CPG root directory and I therefore lost the welcome message that I had for my gallery site.

I'd suggest updating the included Upgrade instructions so that future users are sure to backup (and not overwrite) their anycontent.php file.

You are correct, we should make this clear, as we do for the config.inc.php, although this is not critical. :-[

You should however, back-up all files before upgrading. ;)

@shildebrand: you're right, thanks for the hint
@Casper: could you add a note to the documentation in the cvs (both devel and stable) please? Thank you.
