Cruddy image quality for thumbnails
« on: July 02, 2004, 04:53:14 pm »

Recently we switched servers.  I reinstalled Coppermine and began batch adding our images again on a new install, however, the thumbnail quality is TERRIBLE!  On the old server it was fine, but here the thumbsnails will be either gray, blotchy or have really weird colors.  What is wrong and how can it be corrected?  This was never a problem on the old server.

To view what I've uploaded of the albums (before I stopped because of thumb quality) see this: http://www.metrodancecenter.com/gallery/index.php
and you can see what I mean about the thumbnails.

Hmm... it seems to have corrected itself.  Is that ever strange!

I have the same problem. Look at www.dpfoto.com/gallery and look at the thumbnails.
The look very bad and I'm using GD 1x

It's not Coppermine's fault. The problem is due to GD 1x. You need GD2 to get better results.
