merging 3 MySQL Databases?
« on: June 26, 2004, 12:08:05 am »

I have a site that I have to move to a new host.  They only allow 1 MySQL Database unfortunatly.  I was hoping it would be possible to merge the three coppermine 1.2.1 photo galleries that I have now into one Database, and organize them into three differently albums..

How would I do that?  Is it even possible?

sure this is possible, but you have  to know your way around in the database (use a tool like phpMyAdmin). Do you want your 3 different galleries to actually become one or do you want one database to hold three galleries?
If you want to keep three different galleries, you'll just have to make sure the table prefixes differ, that's all. Merging them is not so easy and only recommended if you have a lot of user data (comments, ratings, user galleries etc.) you don't want to lose, because you'll have to go through some work to actually merge them into one - this isn't something you could do without a clue of the database structure, just with the help of support here on this board.
