[Solved]: Can't connet to MySQL

The following errors were encountered and need to be corrected first:

Could not create a mySQL connection, please check the SQL values entered

MySQL error was : Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)

I think i have filled in the install-form correctly - still - i get the message above....
Have checked the server - it is running GD library.
Files uploaded - and CHMOD set to 755
The site is at a web-hotel running redhat linux.

YESSS!
I fount out what it was in my case...

In the installation form - field: MySQL Host
Default value is:  localhost
Found out that it should be:  localhost.localdomain
