Empty Batch Add & CHMOD Failure
« on: June 12, 2004, 11:26:31 am »

Site specs...

URL: http://www.funeralofhearts.com/gallery
Version: 1.3.0
Apache version 1.3.31 (Unix)
PHP version 4.3.7
FTP: WS_FTP LE

Anyway here are the two problems I am having.

1. Batch Upload Files: There is no directory to select (yes I did CHMOD everything I could to 777 in the albums directory)

Which leads me to my second problem:

2. Cannot CHMOD albums/userpics/10001 (and other folders named the same way)
Error given from WS_FTP:
"550 10002: Operation not permitted
! Chmod failed: It may not be supported on remote site.

I also tried through CPanel File Manager to change permissions and that did not work. Does anyone have any ideas about these problems? Thanks.

Please read the docs, the stickies, and search before posting in future.

You should leave the userpics folder alone.  DO NOT upload by ftp into the userpics folder.
Create new folders in the albums folder, give them the same permissions as the albums folder, and ftp into there.

Don't delete posts, just post "your fix" for others as reference. ;)
