Migrating my site from windows to Linux

Has anyone ever attempted to migrate their Copermine site from a Windown platform to a total Linux platform ??

any ideas suggestioins would really be apreciated !!

can i backup the MySql DB &  Restore it on Linux ... or do i have to start from scratch ??

You can simply backup and transfer your database and files from one to the other, no special changes for the OS are needed.
