I have uesd FTP to upload a lot of pictures at once. but when I go to the user gallery they are not there?

So I did something wrong, what was it? Can you do what I did? Also is there a mod to let my normal members upload more than one picture at a time?

you mustn't upload to the userpics folder, and the folders mustn't contain dots. Read the documentation that comes with coppermine.
There's no mod, but in cpg1.3.0 (which is still beta and not recommended for productive use yet) there will be multiple http uploads for users (enabling them to upload up to 10 files at once, depending on admin settings).
