Show 2nd Level album thumbnails in categories

I was wondering if perhaps Coppermine can display 2nd level thumbnails on the main category page. I have one section that is labeled
Category - SubCat - Album but on the main category page it just lists the titles of the categories. Would it be possible to display anything on the main page that goes beyond the 1st level album? Any help is greatly appreciated.....

Oh yea...I never thought I would find a better gallery prog than gallery.menalto UNTIL I stumbled upon Coppermine....I tip my hat to the developers :)

I have the same problem here.
Is it possible to show thumbs of the sub-categories on the main page?

no, and it wouldn't make sense - there's already enough query load and number of pics on the start page. You have to understand as well that cpg1.2.1 is dying fast - nobody is making mods for it anymore. I suggest you upgrade to cpg1.3.2, chances are higher that someone could use this as well and will code a mod. Additionally, you will benefit from the new features of cpg1.3.x
