Changed Hosting..
« on: September 26, 2009, 02:59:33 pm »

Hi,

Recently changed my hosting provider and now one of my galleries isn't working anymore.
I did make a new database and copied the old to the new, also made the folder (/gallery) at my new hosting where all photos are listed.
But it gives me the error that he cannot access the database, probably because I still have to change the settings somwhere.. but where should I change this?

Thanks
Kim

Edit include/config.inc.php with a plain text editor to reflect the changes in the naming scheme changes from one host to the other of the database. Has been asked and answered many times over ::)
You have already asked exactly the same question two years ago in the thread "new server, pictures??". Needless to say that you got the same answer there. Needless to say that you haven't resolved that thread back then.

I did change these settings but still getting the same error:
Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Access denied for user 'marion'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

The settings are right. I reset my password to be sure I was using the right one, configured the file but getting the error.
Last time I installed the whole gallery again, which I'm afraid I will have to do now too..

Ask your webhost for support then. There's nothing we can do to help you, particularly since you have failed to post a link to your gallery as suggested per board rules.
