Randomly or time-based pictures display
« on: June 02, 2009, 11:48:44 pm »

Hello,

I wish to display a certain number of pictures in each album but with some kind of time rotation. Let's say, I have 500 pictures in one album, I want to display only 100 at the same time to visitors. Every week the visible pictures would move to the next hundred or randomly. ...

I could not find a mod that can do that - please point me to the right direction.

Do you want to accomplish this on a coppermine-driven page or on a non-coppermine-driven page? For the later, use one of the mods discussed in http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/board,57.0.html
The coppermine dev team recommends using cpmFetch.
More details if you post details first (read up board rules).

I want to accomplish that on a Coppermine Gallery as a plugin or mod, I don't think it is so difficult, probably using some of the features for private albums.

Board rules!
8. Post links
When posting a support request, it's helpfull for supporters in most cases to see what the actual page looks like, that's why it's recommended that you always post a link to your coppermine gallery page when asking for support. If your site contains adult content, make sure to post a warning together with your link!

Try http://yoursite.tld/your_gallery/thumbnails.php?album=random (as in http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/thumbnails.php?album=random) on your site. Hidden feature.
