Black Film Strip in Display Image
« on: January 27, 2009, 09:45:02 pm »

I'm pasting a link so you guys get an idea of what I'm talking about first.

http://creativodesignstudio.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=4&pos=0

When you are in display image once inside the album, there's this black film looking border on the top and bottom of the remaining images below the main one.  Anyone have any idea how to take this off?

You have 3 options.

1. In the theme images folder, rename or delete the tile.gif file. This is the image that is displayed above and below the film strip. This will remove the image all together from the display.

2. Create your own tile.gif image. Check out some of the themes in the demo.

3. If this code isn't already in your theme.php then copy, paste and edit to suit your needs. If it's already there then just edit. You will want to edit the rows that contain the {TILE1} and {TILE2} tags.

Code: [Select]
// HTML template for filmstrip display
$template_film_strip = <<<EOT

        <tr>
         <td valign="top" style="background-image: url({TILE1});"><img src="{TILE1}" alt="" border="0" /></td>
        </tr>
        <tr>
        <td valign="bottom" class="thumbnails" align="center">
          <table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="3" border="0">
              <tr>
                 <td width="50%"></td>
                 {THUMB_STRIP}
                 <td width="50%"></td>
              </tr>
          </table>
        </td>
        </tr>
        <tr>
         <td valign="top" style="background-image: url({TILE2});"><img src="{TILE2}" alt="" border="0" /></td>
        </tr>
<!-- BEGIN thumb_cell -->
                <td valign="top" align="center">
                                        <a href="{LINK_TGT}">{THUMB}</a>
                                        {CAPTION}
                                        {ADMIN_MENU}
                </td>
<!-- END thumb_cell -->
<!-- BEGIN empty_cell -->
                <td valign="top" align="center" >&nbsp;</td>
<!-- END empty_cell -->

EOT;

Did you read the manual first???? Taking 2 minutes to backup your files can save you hours of wondering what you screwed up.

I actually found out that it's also under image view.  Even though that piece of code let's you manipulate it a lot more.  Thank you!  You can close this as solved.
