Navigating amount of pages?

I am new to coppermine so bare with me please.
I am just using the standard classic theme and I want to know if or how I can add the numbered pages at the bottom for navigating and add it on top as well so that one doesn't have to always scroll to the bottom of page to flip through the number of pages when it can be done from up top as well.....how to???
