I tried uploading a 3508x2339pixel (918KB) file onto my gallery but when I press "continue" the "500 Internal Server Error
The server has encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request." screen pops up.

I have already tried to change the "max size for uploaded files" and "Max width or height for uploaded pictures/videos (pixels)" to 10000 for both but the screen still pops up.

I have googled for solutions the day but couldn't find any, even in this forum...so please forgive me if I am doing this wrong...this is my first post.

log in as admin.
config>files and thumbnails settings>Max width or height for uploaded pictures/videos (pixels)

also check auto resize option(just next to it).

Yes, I did change the settings for max width and height, to 10000 but it still wouldn't allow me to upload the big files. Thanks.

Did you read the help.. clicking the help icon('?') just next to the value you change in your gallery config?

500 Internal Server Error

It maybe a webserver issue(limitations).
