My galleries were working just fine Friday morning around 8 am but an hour later when I went to find a pic to e-mail somone I received the following message:

Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)


I'm at a loss and my provider has yet to reply so I thought I would try here while I wait!  Any ideas on what might have changed?

This probably means mysql has stopped working on your server. If your host has a server status page try checking that, else wait and it may be repaired. Nothing to do with coppermine, and not much you can do about it.
