Login with IPB, not smooth not sure if this is a 1.3 problem
« on: April 15, 2004, 10:01:28 am »

OK, yesterday i've moved my site to a new server and had to set a couple of things up.

I've found out that when the board is located at  www.mysite.com/forum and the gallery is located at mysite.com/gallery there will be bridging problems.
Logging in almost never works unless you're the admin.

If it's mysite.com/forum and www.mysite.com/gallery, then teh problem won't occur.

not a cpg1.3.0 problem, so I'm moving this thread from cpg1.3.0 bugs to support...
You have to understand that subdomains are different domains as well - www.foobar.com is not the same as foobar.com! Most webhosts have a configuration that allows your domain to be both with www in front of it and without it, so I suggest you set things up end up with your board being at yourdomain.tld/forum and coppermine at yourdomain.tld/gallery - if your webhost has enabled your site to work both with and without www, this won't matter, as long as the cookie path set to "/" for both your board and coppermine.
Hope I was able to make my point...
