is it possible to show only catagories on index page and/or albums with catagory

ex.

Quote
Catagory
Album1, Album2, .... with out thumbnail

Catagory 2
Album1, Album2, .... with out thumbnail


i have alot of albums in one catagory and i have add more albums so the index page is gettin bigger n bigger so i thought i could use it like this..

is it possible to do like that??

In config, change 'show first level album thumbs' to NO.  You will then see just the categories on the first page.
