[Solved]: I get nothing after login with SMF 1.1.5 and CPG 1.4.18

alright I looked and looked and looked and can't find the answer.  I had no issues on another site using SMF with the older CPG, so I didn't think I would have any issues now.   I have the 2 bridged, or atleast I belive I do.  When I goto the gallery, it states that I'm not logged in, click on login, takes me to the SMF login screen.   I login, and it keeps me at the forum instead of going back to the gallery, so I enter the url to the gallery back into ie and firefox, and it says I still need to log in.   any help?  its a brand new install of cpg.

sorry for the mistake.   can either one of you firgure out what I'm not seeing?  I know cgp is access the database.  but from what I'm gathering is that its not pulling the usernames from the smf db.   I'm at a complete loss on this one.
