My provider has made a security patch on the mysql server.
So now the following problem occured.

No more connection to the database.

The said i have to change in the config.php of PhpBB the following:

The name of the db-server has to be changed from "localhost" to "127.0.0.1".

With the PhpBB this change does work. But not with the coppermine!  

The following errormessage appears:

Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said:

 :?:  MySQL has nothing to say? What the hell...?  :?:

instead of deleting the thread it would help if you told people how your were able to solve this by yourself - maybe someone who is looking for help in a similar situation might learn from your errors...

I said delete cause the prob was not really a prob. I forgot that i had to change the include/config.inc.php too, not only the bridge/phpbb.inc.php.    :oops:  
So in fact not really a problem with the software or the server.

After the change in the other file was made too everything was ok.

Why this should be more secure? Maybe the gods know it.  :roll:

I said "delete post" cause it was not really a problem, just a forgotten file. Was a long party yesterday. :roll:
