Users can't log in - Cookie problem?
« on: June 16, 2008, 02:52:43 am »

Hi there,

I have been using coppermine without any problems for about 3 weeks now, however in the last few days a lot of my users are now having trouble logging in.  They log in, and it brings up the thank you you have logged in, click to continue page, but when they click on click to continue it just takes them back to the unlogged in version of the gallery home page.

I have shown them all how to delete their cookies, but it is happening to some of them over and over so they are unable to upload their work, or comment on other's.

Does anyone know what might be causing the problem, and how to fix it?

Thanks in advance

Post a link and non-admin test user account.

Then the same advice I posted for the original tread starter applies to you as well:
Post a link and non-admin test user account.
You posted a link, but you failed to post the test user account.

You're running cpg1.4.9, while the most recent stable release currently is cpg1.4.18, so you're running 9 versions behind. All versions prior to cpg1.4.18 have known security flaws that are actively being exploited. Upgrade as suggested in the docs.
