User permissions
« on: May 09, 2008, 03:02:38 pm »

My coppermine was bridged to phpBB, and I recently upgraded my phpBB to version 3 and the bridge no longer works. I have disabed bridging and I am good with that however since I have some issues. I can log into my coppermine page and I can even log in as a user. The problem is it seems that all of the albums/pictures are associated with the bridged user authentication. In other words, I can log in however I cannot do anything with albums, I get an error that I do not have permission to modify any albums. It seems that I need to reassociate the album permissions to the coppermine user DB? Any insight?

You need to re-associate them (manually) in phpmyadmin.

For dummies like me, more explicit instructions on how to re-associate users using php-myadmin would be helpful.  I can get to the database OK but don't intuitively find the users for coppermine.  Nothing obvious points me to them.  Help would be appreciated.

My problem may be a little different than the one originally posted.  I'm using CPG 1.4.18 and a Mehdi's Joomla bridge.  I'd like to change several users from "registered" status to "administrator."
