Newbie question about integration
« on: May 06, 2008, 04:15:04 pm »

Hi all,

I'm just starting ot on web design, designing my wife's website for her small flower farm. I have a basic understanding of css/html and I know how to update mySql dbases and such. Now, I don't think I missed it becuse I read over the documentation, but how exactly does one put coppermine in a webpage on a site? I understand that I tweark some css and such, but is there basically a chunk of code or something I put in the body of the particular page?

Sorry if I missed this somewhere,
thanks

You don't do that. Coppermine is a standalone application that you skin/theme to look like the rest of your site.

So if I'm understanding correctly, I'd take all the css from my site, apply it to the coppermine, and link to that for the photos page when I get it all set up?

Thanks

Basically yes, but you can't just copy/paste css and expect it all to work as is.
