 have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine1.4.2 and smf 1.1.5:

massive cookies/sessions login loop

Coppermine install: http://tragic-beauty.biz/gallery
Forum install: http://tragic-beauty.biz/forum
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.2
Forum version: SMF 1.1.5
Test user account: testing / test

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL: http://tragic-beauty.biz/forum
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../forum/ 
Use post-based groups?:  1
Cookie name/prefix (if applicable)

Upgrade gallery first to 1.4.18

I could login without any problem btw. Did you clean out cookies from cache ?

yes ..and that works well ..but users have to clean out cookies each time they close the pages or the same loop occurs again ..

I have disabled cookies completely at forum right now ..am testing ..but so far that seems to have solved the issue ...

Question : do i need to disable bridging while upgrading cpg?

No.

Common issue. Either be consistent with your use of the www prefix or enable sub domain independent cookies in SMF.

upgraded - went smoothly no hitches

changed cookies to domain independent.. so far so good -crosses fingers-
