[Solved]: Problem after upgrading from 1.3.3 to 1.4.18
« on: April 21, 2008, 04:30:17 pm »

Hello,

I upgraded my old 1.3.3 version of Coppermine to the latest one 1.4.18. I now have the following problem. My "Registered" users can't upload any pictures because they don't have any access to an album. All the albums were created by the administrator and with the old version the "Registered" users could upload a picture in any of those albums.

I tried to modify the album property by settings "Visitors can upload picture online" (it's an english translation because i have the message in french) to "YES". Then, the users can indeed upload pictures on this album. But they can't delete the uploaded pictures ?! So it's not really usable...

Does anyone have met a similar problem ?

Thanks.

Regards,
Stephane.

If you want them to be able to delete their pictures in public albums you need to enable that in config. The option is called 'Allow users to retain control over their pics in public galleries' (Autoriser les utilisateurs à garder le controle de leurs images dans les galeries publiques).

Ah, ok ! This is the option i missed. Now, it's ok. I set all my albums with "Visitors can upload pictures" so my users can now upload and delete their images.

Thank you very much !!

Stephane.
