[Solved]: How do new users 'register' to set up an account?
« on: March 07, 2008, 07:04:59 pm »

Hello,

Just got it uploaded and very basically configured. Not sure how someone new would set up their own account, i.e., 'register' link at top main menu. Here's a link for reference and help. http://www.landbasedsharkfishing.com/coppermine/index.php

Thanks,
jb

Rephrase your question.. not making sense this way. I just tried registering (name: Test) and it worked just fine.

Cheers

Hein,

Thanks again. I should've opened my eyes instead of my mouth on this one. Got it set up just before you tried it. Thanks Again.

If you resolve your issues on your own, post what you did for the benfit of others. Just as a clarification for others with similar issues: by default, coppermine doesn't allow user registration, because some people prefer to use coppermine only for their pics - they don't want anybody to register. You can allow user registration by going to coppermine's config and enabling the corresponding feature (named "Allow new user registrations", available under "User settings").
