[Solved]: Problem with Install... what am I missing?
« on: February 29, 2008, 08:18:42 pm »

I've tried this a couple of times with the same result and do not believe I am missing anything...

I upload the extracted files to a directory on my webhost as instructed by just sending up the entire directory and then renaming it once up there (tried doing the contents directly as well).  I then change the permissions on the albums and include directory so that they have write permissions.  Now when I go to install the page simply says:
Code: [Select]
The system cannot find the path specified.
mySQL database is setup and good to go... webhost supports PHP (I am running other PHP software there currently).

It's got to be something minor I am missing but cannot figure out what it is...

TIA.

Googling suggests that's a message from IIS. Contact your webhost.

It is indeed a message generated out of IIS and had already contacted my webhost... they cannot figure out why it is throwing this error.

Worked with tech at my webhost a bit more... After discussing a few options I offhand asked what version of PHP they were running.  Tech support person then connected the two and went in and checked and an old version of PHP was configured for my site.  They set it to PHP5 and now everything is working perfectly!
