[Solved]: How bridge works
« on: March 10, 2008, 06:15:11 pm »

I have moved my forum and I tried to bridge it with photogallery. The Admin tools gave me that option at this gallery, not before (that wizard thing). But... I thougt the bridge means that automaticly forum users are also galleryusers. That they appear on the userlist, or what it's called in english. But not... Forum has users already, gallery doesnt, only me as admin. When a new person registers in the forum, does it register at the gallery too? If so, what about the old forumusers?  Can someone explain this to me?

Please search the board before posting.

When you enable the bridge Coppermine will read users from the database of the forum. Existing users in the gallery are not taken into account and if you disable the bridge you will have only the users you had before you bridged. There is only ever one 'set' of users being taken into account.

So that tells me that its not working. It should work like I thought it would, and like you explained. Something is wrong and I'm out of brains.

Bridge is not enabled. Read the docs for what info to provide when requesting bridge support.
