using a Dir structure for uploads (new user just setting up)
« on: January 10, 2008, 12:35:31 pm »

Howdy, i have been using phpalbum.net for a year or two.. and its been running fine.

But I have noticed that it files sometimes on generating thumbs and such.
I take alot of pictures from inside a game and have 11613 pictures in 2 gigs of files.

I have them all sorted by directories so that its separate and i can make a new directory for a new quest or skill.

All the files area already upload to the server in this directory fashion, and I can't seem to tell copermine to just look in the directories and make the galleries and such. It seems i have to have all 11k files in one directory?
Or do i need to select each directory to add? and set each file as a specific label?

Either way, I would prefer to just have copermine "mine" though all the sub dir's and add everything automatically when next viewed. (is this possible or should i stick with phpalbum.net because it the default behavior there)

thanks man.. importing now..

Minor question.. say i add new files later do i need to "reimport" again everything? (assuming it will ignore whats already there)

or just whats new? (new folders or the new files themselves)
