batch add but only 10 images in 10 seconds??
« on: January 01, 2008, 07:12:26 pm »

Hi,

I moved my gallery to a new hosting prodider.
now it's running on a big server (they say 8 processers) and indeed the batch add go's very fast.

But i get the following problem: the batch add takes so many cpu that the hosting provider will disable my account for 1 minute due to to much cpu usage .

is it possible to place a time delay in the batch add, for example, add 10 images, wait 10 seconds add another 10 images?

THis will prevent that i get this problem and a problem with my hosting provider.

Kind regards,

Hendrik

For me sounds like a bad provider.
They overselled their big server into hundreds of shared account, and now they use this scripts to avoid overselling? funny
But its only my personal opinion.

To reduce the resource consumption of the batch-add process, add less pics in one go or use the MassImport plugin.
