Moving the gallery to a new host
« on: December 30, 2007, 09:49:40 pm »

Hi! I wanna move my coppermine gallery to a new host, but I don't know how to do it and the person from the new host said she doesn't have time to do it.

So I was wondering if anyone has a tutorial or know anyone who can help me with the moving. I'm willing to pay.

I really need help because I'm afraid of doing something wrong and lose verything. :(

I'm not sure if this is the right place, I checked the boards and I thought here it was more fitting.

Thank you.

Thank you! I'll read it and see if I can do it all by myself, I hope I don't screw up.  :-[ lol

Do you know if it's possible to do the moving to a different site domain name? Am I gonna lose everything like the views and other info?

If you do it right you won't lose anything.

Thank you very much! I read in there that I need to download all my coppermine folder to my hard drive but it doesn't have enough space, so I asked if anyone could do that for me.

Thanks again, knowing that it's possible to move the gallery without losing all the info, it helps a lot.  ;D

Being out of disk space on your local PC is a lame excuse. Use an external storage device (USB hard drive) or burn the stuff on one or more CDs/DVDs if you can't afford the external storage space. ::)
