How do you deactive a bridge

I recently upgraded to phpbb 3.0.0 and the bridge no longer works.  Reading this forum I see that the patch is still under development.  How can I remove the bridge and just run my existing gallery as a stand alone until the patch is released?

I am running the latest version of coppermine photo gallery.
