afaik search engines are not "php-shy". They also index pages ending with php, even if they contain vars in the url (which indicates to a search engine that the pages are dynamically generated). It's a myth that keeps haunting support boards of all php scripts (be they big and well-known or small). Google, for example, will index your pages on relevance (based on a mechanism called "page rank"). Want to see an example? Here you go: http://www.google.de/search?q=+site:coppermine.sourceforge.net+%22coppermine.sourceforge+.net%22&hl=de&lr=&ie=UTF-8&start=10&sa=N

In fact I have notice that googles refeers the first page for exemple if you have albums A,B,C... wich are containing in A, for exemple: Amen, Amedéé, Amida ... wich contains each 100 photos, only the first page generated by coppermine is reffered. So if you have 100 photos on 10 dynamically generated pages only 10 photos wil be reffered. On some other search engines it is worth.

that it the reason why it could be very interesting to change the dynamic link of the pages to one wich looks static for search engines.

there has been a discussion/feature request on "friendly urls", maybe that's what you have in mind.

Google indexes most pages of coppermine

Click http://www.google.com/search?q=coppermine+tarique and you will see plenty of references to CPG files on tariquesani.net
